Finally was able to identify the species of the young tree.... or well, shrub i should say... but does lend itself to bonsai, not the best species though.
It infact is not a Juniper at all, as i earlier suspected, but a form of "false cypress" called "Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Ellwoodii"
Thanks to all those who tried to help out... now if anyone has trained this tree before, your experience would be really helpful to share.

This is how it looks wired and significantly trimmed down. I will move it to a larger training pot next year once it gains some vigour.
