Carmona bonsai was created by Natan

Hello,
In case you haven't seen my previous post about my red Japanese maple, I can tell you in advance that I am no expert with maples :P but I have had my Carmona for over a year now and it's looking great! It's blooming a lot and constantly growing new leaves. The soil I bought my bonsai in, was very old and didn't drain very well so I re-potted it into a mix of 2/3 of bonsai soil and 1/3 of sand, I also added some gravel into it to help with the drainage. I re-potted it in the early spring and it turned out very well. I live in Scotland so I keep it inside on my window sill where it gets a lot of light during the day. Now I wish to know what work I could do next with this little fella. It has a lot of growth at the back and there's a big gap in the middle where there's not so much growth as you can probably tell from the picture. Is there anyone out there that could maybe give me any advise?
Thanks in advance :)

I can't see very well the structure, but the right branch seems to be a lot thicker than it should be; and Carmonas are difficult to get girth in the trunk.
Not really sure if designwise there is much to do now...

This is how I got it and I haven't done any pruning because I wasn't sure how to prune it, but thank you for your reply :) it really means a lot to me as I seen you clearly have good knowledge about bonsai :)

Do you suggest that I should cut off that right brach? I was thinking about maybe using the "cut-and-grow" technique as I read it on the blog section of this website under the title "Working the Trunk" do you think this could maybe help?

P.S
There's another couple of pictures of the tree at different angles, hope it helps :)

Hummm...
I would skip the "cut" and go for the "grow" at the moment...

Should I still prune the tree? If so, how would I do it?

Hi, old thread but I'm interested, do you still have your carmona, how is it doing?
