I'm not sure. What did the shop that sold this plant say it is? I'll let you know if I think that's correct.

Yup...
Maybe a closer photo from the leaf shape could help also, but from that angle I see more rounded than pointy. Both have impaired leaves, right?

I guess it is a Loropetalum Rubrum.
