I bought a pomegranate a few months ago. I kept it indoors during the winter and the tree is doing fine. However, there are some white spots developing at several places on the trunk and branches. I tried to take some photos and attached them to the thread, hope you can see them. What are these spots? Is this a sign of disease? Should I remove them by hand?
Thank you very much for your help

Yes, it is a pest.
In my pomegranates I took them by hand (used cotton buds embedded with neem oil).
After getting rid of them, pulverized Neem oil again.
Now I use a general plant insecticide on all plants every 2 months.
