After one year of iron pellets, micronutrients, less watering, high and low nitrogen ratios, laterite soil, a rusted nail stuck in the corner of the pot, you name it; my trident woke up from dormancy STILL showing signs of Chlorosis.
I give up.
I give up.

My last resort, I fear.
Yes, this is what what I thought this morning; as this is Spring here, and I happen to have a bigger and brand new pot, why not change the soil, the pot, trim those roots and hope for the best?
I will do it eventually...
Thanks for your not so silly suggestion, LB !
By the way, I remember you had some issues with chlorosis also, am I wrong?

Me chlorosis issues? You mean the pulsing red veign on my forehead?
Yeah, some of my trees had issues due to the extreme weather. I am looking foreard to a few weeks of rain (it is still waaaay too dry) and expect spring will bring better news.

I suggest it has something to do with a wrong PH of the substrate...

Yes, it could be.
I got this Acer already repoted last year, and I really don't know the soil composition (it drains well though).
But as my care guide says "Chlorosis sometimes develops if the pH is above 7" I will repot it with my soil mix (which is neutral to slightly acidic), and I will let you guys know the result.
Thanks for your input!
