Adding a hole to the design in my opinion would not fit the tree. features like jin and uru and shari... need to fit the tree, adding those features randomly onto a tree that does not suit those features is like having a road and putting loads of speed bumps and pot holes all over the place.

I hope I have selected the right pic.

I don't know what you have done thus far exactly but if that was my tree I would have taken the left branch away and the bottom branch on the right side. I think that would look OK.

Jin and shari are typically not done on broadleaf and deciduous trees, but on coniferous ones.
Uro are typically done on deciduous trees.
