Try to twist and pinch them off. If you cut them off the needles nearest to the cut will then turn brown.

Oh ok, awesome thank you. I will try to see if I can give them a slight pinch or twist to remove and then guide them over to my compost. It is 89 today and I keep wondering if I should water more than once per day but at the same time I worry quite a lot about over watering... more so than I do under watering. I sure hope I get the hang of it soon lol, I wasn't even this nervous with my 3 kids...

Over watering is a problem, junipers hate wet soil. it's best to let it dry out between waterings.

Well I do let it dry out, each day when I go out to check everyone (all the plants on the deck) the Junipers soil is very dry. I am only watering it once per day along with the Lavender and then the Aloe only is getting every other day and then everyone else has been needing watered twice a day with this heat. The heat will get much worse, that is a given here in LA. However it is fairly humid here so that is beneficial.

If it gets too hot I'd put it in the shade for the hottest part of the day.It seems like you're doing okay with it.
