I got this ficus as a cutting early this year and it's grown a lot. I would like to have some Ariel roots but not sure how to get them started. I want to let it grow tall and thicken up a lot then trunk chop it, any ideas or tips would be great.

Why the wire? this is too tall and thin and the wire is not doing anything. Arial roots grow naturally but are not something that can be made to grow.

It was very straight and I wanted to add some movement. I know it's tall it will get taller and hopefully by doing so will also get thicker, I plan to cut it back.
