Hi Guys,

I was hoping I can get some suggestions on how to go about this root. I have an idea but maybe I can get more from experienced people here.

I agree that the largest, rightmost, of these roots should be removed, as it crosses the base of the trunk. I would also argue that the middle root should be removed because it is in opposition of the flow of the trunk and leaving only the smallest, leftmost, root would be best - especially if you can train it slightly to the left, following the flow of the trunk.

However, I would do this in stages since these decisions cannot be undone. You might also say that leaving only the smallest root as I suggested would make the root to tree ratio unbalanced and awkward. Maybe it is aesthetically best to remove all 3 roots?

Well it is awkward aesthetically to just leave the small roots, also removing all is more of a eye sore since the visible lifeline of the tree would be suddenly abrupt with a knob. I was also thinking of maybe taking out the smaller roots, then shorten the larger root and pull it down, just leave some cut marks along the bigger root that is underneath the soil so that smaller roots will grow from there.
