Hi,
I need an advice for my satsuki azalea. Last year I cut some branches but watching youtube I noticed that masters apply some paste for the wounds.
Do I need special paste for azaleas? I'm shopping bonsai stuff from Germany.
Pictures from this morning, I hate the pink color......but the tree is good shape.

And the wounds....

There is no need for cutting paste, it is optional and may reduce the risk of disease coming into the wound. Since it was a year since you cut, it has allready made it and there are absolutelly no reason to apply cut paste now.

I just cant help wondering. Why did you get pink azalea if you hate pink? Send it to me and get yourself another colour, there are a lot of different to chose from.

For azalea using the japanese cut "liquid" from the tubes works exceptionally well to help close bigger cuts. But you need to do the cut and directly add the liquid before it dries out.

When I bought the azalea, the tree was dying - no flowers, dead leaves etc. And after that - pink colors.
I live in Bulgaria ...the transport is probably problematic for such a fragile tree?
