Hello everyone!

This is my first bonsai and have been wanting to grow one for quite some time! I found this little guy growing from seed in a pot with some flowers. He had a very unique shape and I knew I had to transplant it for bonsai. Everything seems to be going well since I had done so 4 months ago. But my question for everyone is there any techniques I can use to encourage new growth in certain areas? Or just in general to thicken up the tree.

Thanks for your time!

This is not your first bonsai, it is your first tree which in 15 years might be a bonsai. Plant it in the ground and leave it for 5 years, then think about what can be done to it. I don't like the look of how it has bent the trunk at the base though. This just a seedling that needs growing on
