Nackbudding in Prunus Mume

Soo.. I have always heard that prunus mume does not backbud. However, for the last three years I have had buds appear on old branches or barck. This year, it is quite a lot of buds. Amd I alone in this? Or do you also get decent backbudding?

Well that's what it says in the subject. But joking aside mine do backbud quite well. They flower beautifully too, this year probably as well if not better than at any time since I have had them. They grow from root prunings too.
