Some say to plant the seeds in the soil and leave in the fridge for 2 months...
Matt, please read that sentence again. Does it make any sense? How are you going to plant the seeds in the soil and then take them to the fridge for two months? In the pots? Planters? What if they are on the ground?
No, you got confusing info there.
Usually if you are in a cold winter place, you soak them in lukewarm water for 24 hours in the end of the Autumn, then sow them outside and let nature do its thing in the Spring.
If you live in a hot place, then you you soak them in lukewarm water for 24 hours in the end of the Autumn, Then wrap them with moist paper napkins and put them in the fridge for two or three months. Coming Spring you sow them and wait a few days for them to sprout.
