Advice kindly please. Yesterday I potted and pruned a Jervis Canadian Hemlock. I posted in a Facebook group for bonsai and the general opinion was I did too much too fast. I am confused. The workshop, videos and books do this process together. What is correct?

Unless you are in Australia you should not re pot at this time of year. Depends on how well you did the repotting and if you pruned roots it might be ok.

I took about 1/3 of the roots. It is just the first week of summer, started two days ago in the USA.

Best to research before you do it: homeguides.sfgate.com/care-canadian-hemlock-bonsai-77447.html
It should have been repotted in spring. I agree with the FB group, you should not have done so much in such a short time.

It's a bit too late to repot it, Lynda.
If the tree was healthy enough perhaps it can make it ok.
Aftercare is needed; open shade, humidity, good watering and luck.
