I have heard of a willow tree extract that is useful when making cuttings. Any info on that? I am starting juniper cuttings.

No need for juniper. Just take cuttings of healthy strong branchlets, stick them in the dirt and keep them from drying out too much. In 6-12 months they should start to root.

The stuff you are looking for is taking bark of willow in a bucket of water and using that after a few days of soaking.
