Yes it’s a Blue Star Juniper. It was looking bad outside in the pot, so after some research I found they can live inside. I brought it in about 2 months ago and has recovered.(sorry for thread jacking)

I do realize this it’s just a kit that gives acces to seeds of trees harder to come by in certain areas. Bonsai is the act of training a tree

That’s the exact seed I planted. That “cap” pops off and the rest of the husk stays on the tree until the leaves sprout they eventually fall off. You can see it in some of my pictures

And so, after several weeks, my seed has emerged from the soil. Can you say "Little Shop of Horrors"?

Did y’all ever figure out what kind of seed/tree that is? I have one as well. I believe it’s from the sowers source bonsai starter kit.

Hi,
No, I have not figured out if that seed is in fact, Ficus Religiosa. And to be honest, even after it grows more I am not sure how to determine that. However it continues to grow.

And I mean at least it’s growing right?

The photo attached is from this morning. I think it is too young to make a leaf determination.

Did some digging and spoke to the seller. They claim it is a bodhi tree/ ficus religiosa... which I’m still having a hard time believing. Then I found this on alibaba. So maybe it’s a Chinese knock off of a bodhi or something?? Says collected in China and the seed pods are huge. Check it out and hopefully we will get to the bottom of this. Lol I really want to know what it is.
