Oak tree, around 37 years old, always in a tray.
Bought it some time ago in Gingko bonsai center.
65cm high, 21cm circumference. Leave size reduced to appr. 1/3 of the normal size.

At this point I'm gonna cut the biggest leaves to 1/3 , to bring light in the tree

No offence, but we are talking about temperate oaks in Sweden here.

Oh, none taken my man! Like I said, I like Oaks, but never even saw one in person tho... hahahah

Very cool Frank! Now that's a nice one.

I heard they are slow growers, but I would never have guessed they are this slow! =P
Kinda add some charm on the species, hahahah.

Now, that is quality answer Frank! Well done on leaf reduction. Do you say that the tree was planted as an acorn in shallow pot and grown in it since or that it was transplanted into shallow pot 37 years ago?

All credit go to Dany Use, He is the previous owner, he is my guide and point me in the right direction at the correct moment etc.
As far as I know it was always in a tray, that's what they told me

That’s one great oak tree Frank!
Just wanted to way in, without any experience to what will happen in the future. But I have two little oaks from acorn, one of them one year old, the other two. They both had four leaves at the top only. The one year old I pruned all the leaves, the two year old I didn’t.
One week after pruning it now looks like below.
I’ll repot it next year to a bigger pot/growing box and leave it to grow.
