I got this plant from a friend who neglected it, bushy, and with all kinds of queer root growth ( see photo). I then proceeded to pruning and am wondering if i did s sufficient job at it. Especially wondering bout the roots.(See photos of before and after) any thoughts, advise, violent reactions welcome.

He also said its 2yrs old. Should i be thinking bout repotting soon or immediately? I live in a tropical climate. Hot, humid and sunny, but i placed my plant at a spot with only good morning and afternoon sun. Is this ok?

Thanx,
Bonsai Newbie

hello, i think the roots are attractive, but if you maybe but the rock underneath the tree, it would look better (it is my opinion). look good in terms of branches though.

good luck!

i get it, it is your tree qand your opinion is the mein one that counts, but repotting, now the only way i find out is by lifting thee tree carefully away from its pot, but do not take it out and take a peek.

good luck

Hi bob!

Sorry. Didnt mean to be rude. Pls read ur first reply. It actually does not say wat u think i should do with the rock. Kindly specify so i can think about it.

Also im looking at a new plant but cant quite identify it, bark nd roots look like banyan but leaves are not matching. Can u gelp me ID it? Posted fotos.

Thanx
JP
