Hello, I trained my own bonsai, but I don't know the species of it. Can you tell it from the picture?
Thank you

Your seedling could be Beech or Hornbeam, not sure but it needs to in the ground to grow and in some years then it may be styled, until then it has to grow.

This is a young birch.
It still has a few years to go though. Wiring the branches does not make sense, as these will have to be removed before you can form a bonsai (THe branches will grow too thick in the time it takes to grow a decent trunk).

If you want bends in the trunk: Keep in mind that all bends will be less visible with increase of trunk tickness: Make them overly extreme (But be carefull: These birch twig break very easily. Bend slowly, with proper support along the bends (If you do not know what I mean, ask someone to show you in person!)

beech, hornbeam, no. it could very well be, as leatherback has said, a young birch, silver. if you make a good bonsai with this, you will have to wait 7-10 years, as silver birches take that time to turn the infamous white-silver colour.

good luck!
