:D yes, some people dont have that patience. Maybe you can just grow some trees in pots for a while and practice the horticultural side and i will do the same. This art i am sure of is rewarding.

In general, you can with care take seedlings out of their seedflat when they are starting to go 'woody'; After popping their heads from the soil, the stems are very weak. With time, the stems goo stronger and carefull repotting is possible. I grew some 150 Larch this year from seed, in an area of mayne 30*30cm. They are very close to eachother, forming a dense mat. I decided to not transplant, but mainly because Larch is sensitive to root-disturbance. For a similar flat with Azalea I did do a mid-summer transplant. It will help them with growing.
