Hey there :)

I've been reading the articles and posts here and I'm definitely learning a lot. I'm not anywhere near half though.

I was hoping I can compile the basic techniques so I'll have a quick reference of what to do for the following (eg. precisely cut this cut that):



Grow new branches ~

Grow new leaves ~

Decrease size of leaves ~



Links are also appreciated.

Feel free to add anything you think would be helpful for beginners like me, and thanks in advance!

This link has links to other pruning for style pruning. Maintenance pruning is only done to refine the shape of bonsai not to style it and style pruning is to prune to create the style or shape on a tree.

Hi Bob! This is awesome, I never would have thought there's a far more complex system in its buds. Thanks! Now to finish the remaining articles .....
