Today waterfalls are frozen near Florianópolis, south of Brazil.
A tropical paradise, right?

And the trees on leaves, frozen in moment... :blink:
That could be devastating for the ecosystem there.. : (

There are many deciduous trees in the south (apples, maples and the such), and evergreens also (mostly pines).
But the tropicals... They feel the frost and many get very sick indeed.
