Hello all,
I have recently become fasinated with bonsai and am looking to start work on a few different trees. The thing is, the nature of my job will have me moving every 3-4 years, possibly internationally for 2-3 years. Would transitions like this affect the trees? How difficult is it to import trees to other countries? I currently like in North Dakota but could end up almost anywhere in the US and a number of places in Europe or East Asia. Is my travel going to be too much to maintain a bonsai hobby? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It will make maintaining your hobby impossible.

Moving trees between coutries is typically dificult,. certainly when crossing oceans. I would say this is nto the ideal time to take it up seriously. But find a club, and get a few trees. Then when you leave, ask someone to care for it till you return
