So tree 1 was bought as a regular tree.

It had no tag and was mostly dead.
I got it for 50yen i.e. 50 cents.

Now 4 years on it looks more like a bonsai and alot of dead growth I cut off is visible.
The wiring is terrible i know i put it there just to move the branches a little as most were already in a decent spot.

Im not 100% sure what it is. Some kind of serrisa foetida?

2 haha no idea what it is.

When we moved into the new house it was in the garden as a big bush.

My wife didnt like it and with out consultation cut it down to a tiny stump.

I noticed it and salvaged the 6cm stump as a bonsai.

Thats how it is today not trimmed since july so its a bit over grown. Intotal from base to to its about 6 or 7 cm.

I was thinking to grow the side branch near the top more out to give a round puff look to distinguish more from the top.

If you know what number 2 is let me know it has tiny leaves about 2mm in length. They are a little rigged.

Thanks for your reply.

I had considered that but the leaves do not match up to any box/buxus i have seen or compared on the net.

The leaves are more like a chinese elm but super tiny. Box trees are usualy a round smooth edge right?
