Hi there to all, I just recently joined I live in the UK Glasgow were the weather isnt great I have a carmona tree which stated it was for indoor use, Iv read that it should be outdoors and also one of your members told me that to, just want to say thanks to them again for the info they gave me, Iv took it out box as they said and have put it at the kitchen window as I live in a flat, I would just like to no how often do I water it, and how do I Feed it, I read iI had to feed it every 2weeks. what is bonsai food and were do I get it. Also what are the best bonsai trees for indoors, and how can you tell the age of your tree as it didnt say anything bout its agenon the box it came in. Again thanks for any help given, and thanks again to previous replies.xxx

Water when soil gets dry, but dont wait too much. Carmona tends to like wet soil not dry. Never soak the soil like sponge. There are plenty bonsai fertilizers on sale on internet but you can also use common one for green leaves plants (not flowers). I personally use organic californian worm fertilizer and my carmona responds very well on it. Feed (use the fertilizer) once every several weeks in summer and once a month in winter. But if it is indoor you can do that just once, twice a month.

Do not put this plant outside, it is not hardy and needs protecting from frost

Please note that there is no such thins as "indoor bonsai".

Every plant prefers to be outdoors. There are a few exceptions when a plant/bonsai needs to be inside/unheated shed for a certain time.

Carmona is not frost hardy, so when the climate does not allow, you need to bring it inside.

Keeping plants healthy indoors for a longer period of time is very hard.

If you are interested in bonsai, take an "outdoor" material, something that thrives in your location. Hawthorn, ligustrum, elms and maples could be a good choice.

thank you very much for your reply, its just case of hoping and attending to it all time like a wee child, dont understand why when you purchase these things they come with the wrong information. can i ask another question how do you no how old your tree is.xx
