When I was a student at the college, I've visited excursion, where I saw the oldest sugar maple in Canada called “Comfort Tree” in North Pelham, Ontario (Niagara Region) and is estimated to be over 500 yrs. old. If I don't mistake, it's still keeps growing there. I studied biology more than other subjects because it was my true passion, I even write my thesis on this theme. In fact, maple trees can live to 200 years and beyond and have been tapped for 150 years or more.
