As an example, an organic cake (mixed among some long release Osmocote Plus) and its symbiotically acting bacteria & fungi on the bonsai soil.

Clicio, when you said you used teabags, do you mean like ordinary teabags that has been empty’ed and filled with biogold? I have been using baskets that you press on to biogold so that the bottom is in contact with the soil. But i have wanted to try tea bags on my podocar, can i use ordinary emptied tea bags? :-) Or do i need some bought from a bonsai shop?

I use teabags too.
You don't need to empty them: just buy empty teabags ;-)

Yes, paper tissue empty teabags purchased on e-bay in packs of 100 or 500.
I stick them on the soil using japanese bamboo toothpicks. See the image:
