Good day,

I just bought my new bonsai plant (Boxwood Harland) and is 4 years old. I've been reading a lot from the internet on how to properly take care of my bonsai plant. From what i've read they said to:
- better to keep the bonsai outside
- water daily (not sure how much water i should pour on my bonsai)
- make sure my bonsai has adequate sunlight (i'm thinking of placing it on a table outside our house where it is entirely exposed to the sun)

I live in Canberra (Australia) and the weather has been cold the past couple of days.

Is there anything I should know for taking care of my bonsai?

Thanks in advance

First, welcome. Buxus are totally hardy and must be outside. They do not like strong sunshine, so some shade. You must not water to a schedule. Check every day and water when the surface is just dry. Cold? In Australia? The plant you have is a very young one, it will be a long time before it gets a reasonable trunk. If it was mine I would consider planting it in the ground to try to get it to thicken the trunk quicker than it will in a pot. I also suggest that you buy a book and read up on the way to look after trees.

Normally people don't follow links to external websites but I did and to ruin your excitement:

This has nothing to do with bonsai. It's just a very young boxwood in a far too small pot.
And again, I'm repeating myself: this is NOT the way to grow bonsai. This plant does not belong in a bonsai pot. Keeping small plants in small pots will only stunt the plant's growth, keep it small and undeveloped, and eventually kill it.

Please do a bit of reading, this is really repeated on an almost daily basis.
