Hello everyone!
I am new to growing bonsai and I was wonder something.
I am starting my trees from seedlings and I was wondering what the best care method would be to keep them healthy as they just start growing. I am mostly focused on growing a ficus bonsai since it is the easiest to start with.
If any one could help me out it would really be appreciated.

Thanks!

Pfiew, diving in the deep end head first.

Growing from seed is certainly NOT the easiest to start with. Ficus, also not, unless you are in the tropics.

If you really are after advice, I would recomment NOT starting from seed initially, but buying a plant local to your climate. So if you are in temperate climate, think larch, juniper, field maple. Those are fairly easy to care for and can get you decent results in a relatively short time.

Awesome thank you for the advice, I live in a continetal climate where summers can get into 100 degrees Celsius on really hot days and really cold winter about -30 degrees Celsius. I have had a hard time finding a good place to buy a young tree for my climate, but I really appreciate you giving me some guidance on Choosing a species to go with.

ehm.. I think you have a mistake in your temperatures. The temperatures you describe are not survivable.

Which doesn't mean you can't start a few batches from seed already. Sow a few easy to germinate species like Acer Buergerianum or Zelkova this year and use the 1st year they are growing to learn more about bonsai.

But like leatherback said it isn't the easiest way to start. By the time you have something to really work with we're 5 years later.
Just try to pick up some real starter trees, hell, even mallsai, from a local bonsai shop to try your first moves on.
