Mine are not thickening either, but they are being baby-bended as required.
Not all of them, one will be a broom style.

as far I'm aware, all bonsai are from seeds :) :)
But it's fun to sow your own trees.
Last summer I planted seeds from zelkovas and now I have almost 100 seedlings, so if anybody want some, I'm in Antwerp, Belgium

Well....that depends on if you consider growing from air layers, grafts and cuttings beeing from seeds :)

Can we please not ruin this thread? Please start another thread if you feel the urge to discuss the need to philosophy what growing from seed means, and stick to showing our projects here?

Two of my JBP from seed: 1/12 years old.
I like the double trunk and the baby-bend ones.
