Hello, I recently visited the Japanese peace garden in San Diego and I fell in love with Bonsai trees! Here's the problem, I live in Northern Minnesota and it's cold always lol. I mean cold cold, -50⁰F at times. Is there a tree that could survive this, or survive an indoor life of 6 months or better? Thanks in advance!

Yes, the woods are full of them. Oh, wait, northern Minnesota - well, yes.
Your best bet is to find a bonsai group near you. (Try minnesotabonsaisociety.org/ ) and find out from them what works best for beginners, and how they care for the tree during the winter. Talk to the people who have been in the society the longest with the oldest trees.
