What type of Bonsai is this? was created by Heather7000

Hello,

I was given this bonsai tree for my birthday. Could someone tell me what type of Bonsai it is and any tips on caring for it please? I've seen a lot of people advising to keep the trees outside but I live in the UK so not sure our weather is good enough!

Thanks,
Heather

... you live in the U.K., and not sure about the weather.. so there are no trees outside in England???
Second: you want to know which type of tree you have, not what type of bonsai. Which brings me to the thing you want to know: it's a ficus ginseng and has nothing to do with bonsai. It's one type of ficus grafted on the roots of another. Just treat it as a houseplant and it will be fine

This just another houseplant masqurading as bonsai so that it can e sold at a higher price. The weather in this country is excellent, we have had almost no rain for months. having said that this Ficus is not hardy and does not like intense sunshine we are having now. So it is better kept inside. But only this species, the vast majority of trees are hardy and cannot be kept in the alien environment of a house.
