Bonsai Diary/Calendar? was created by Spud in Disguise

Hi everyone. I am still relatively new to bonsai growing, but I am starting to build up a small collection of different trees (some from seed and some shop bought).

I was wondering, how do you keep track of tasks and things you need to do with your various trees? I was thinking of setting up a Google calendar to track dates of when things are due, or when I last did something (like re-potting, so I can check back on stuff). But I can see that might get quite messy if I am tracking a few different trees. So I just wondered how you all keep on top of stuff?

I use a programme called Bonsai Album. It was cheap at £10 and questions are answered very quickly,

I made an Excel spreadsheet: column per tree with pics, usefull info, .. per row and a page per year. Simple, does what it needs to do and costs nothing

Cool, are there any other services that you know of for this?

Is Bonsai Album an app only?

It's not a good idea to be too date driven. The trees bud out when they want to. My elms bud out enough to prune and repot any time from January to April.

A record of what you have done is a pretty good idea. Along with pictures that would work pretty well.

Cool, do you have a link?

@IvanMann - that's a good point about not being too date driven. I think it's more about having a record of what I've done and when - I don't trust my memory!
