Hey guys, so I finally got my hands on a ficus after searching for a while. There really is not any bonsai activity where I live, but a local grocery store got a few ficus in recently, so I thought I would give it a try. The soil is bad, and it was bone dry when I got it, very neglected in the store with no sunlight. It is something of a rescue mission if you will.

My main question, is can I move it outside for the Canadian summer? It never goes below 5~10 degrees C, and I can leave it out till autumn.

The trunk is quite ugly because it has been brutally chopped, and I think poorly grafted, The chop is mostly hidden by foliage though, so it is okay. Have any thoughts on the exact species? Is this two different species grafted?

Thanks,
Si
