I'd use the last few days to make this bonsai stand using some old floorboards and some old pieces of pine for the legs.

Was lucky enough to get a mini-lathe for xmas so the legs on this table are my first attempt at turning (for about 30 years).
If you look closely you'll see inconsistencies but ho-hum it was a first attempt and I think they look nice enough.

I've got some young bonsai in my study where I work from home so wanted to put them on something a little smarter than the window sill.

I used a pyrography burning pen to engrave the Japanese proverb - the hardest part of that was finding a proverb that meant something meaningful to me (especially when working from home and inspiration is sometimes hard to come by!).

Hope you like it as much as I do. I've spray varnished it and will put my bonsai's on it tomorrow. Will post that as another update to show you the finished product
