I think this question has been asked already but I'm asking it again.
How many trees do you have in your collection? Counting all of your trees, not just "finished".
The reason I ask is because this weekend I decided to reduce the number of trees I have, getting rid of the ones that had little or no potential.
I ended up getting rid of 10 trees. I now have 16, and a jar of willow cuttings.
That number will probably go up again this year, as it always does. Anyway..
That's it I guess.

well 35 total 7 are in a "to be" maple forest and 3 are in a ficus grouping... of those 14 are actual bonsai the others range from seedlings to trainers.i am going to a bonsai show and sale on the 19th so even tho i say no more trees that number will go up. ive been saying no more trees since i had like 10 :lol: :pinch: :woohoo: . my eventual plan is to start a buisness as a bonsai nursery.it may be 10years down the road but every buisness has to start somewhere...this reminds me i need to get some good pics and do a gallery ...maybe someday im soooo busy lately

I was told that the number of trees were getting a little out of hand..so a few went away. I only did this so I could replace them with some that had better potential. I'm always thinking. haha

LOL that reminds me of a story that i read my kids "one kitten for kim" he has to get rid of all but 1 of his 7 kittens but comes home with 6 other pets

Sixty three, 50 outside and 13 inside, 2 lucky bamboo(I don't count these as bonsai), 350-400 silver maple seeds I just planted. Oh and I have three air-layers that I am trying. MAN-O-MAN in need to get a job.

It must be incredibly time consuming to care for and maintain 63 bonsai by yourself? Do you have freinds / family / employees to help with your collection??

holy s*#t...i thought i was getting too many. you must of ran into the same problem as me ...that trees done for a year now what to do ,ok get another watering days must take an hour or so
