I just received two beautiful pots from bryan allbright and sadly one came out the box in pieces.
But he told me he Would send me a new one. Nice guy Bryan.
Anyway i still have the broken one and was wondering if anyone knows good way to fix it.
What kind of glue etc.
It' s à really nice nanban pot so it's not going into trash, that's for sure.

I think you will have to go to a specialty shop asking for glue to fix 'pots'; normally this will be a two-component glue I guess?

Keep us posted on anything you learn about fixing a broken pot!

Peter Tea, a bonsai apprentice at Aichi-En in Japan, told me once that he learned from Mr. Tanaka some techniques on fixing broken pots or cracks on old tokoname and chinese pots. I will ask him again which glue is good to use and I will let you know!

BTW: That's very nice from Bryan, he is a great guy!

I'm thinking any food grade glue for porcelain or pottery would do the trick. That way you're sure the glue won't poison the next tree to move in.

i am searching for the same remedy i have a very nice signed shohin pot ( i actually bought the tree for the pot) that is broken.i have heard that a skilled potter can actually fill in and refire pots and even regalzing them to hide the cracks. i asked one guy ,but he said the clay that was used is different than his otherwise he could do it.ive found places in california that can fix anything ceramic but thats too far to send it for me

Well i haven't found anything yet so still searching.
But Bryan is well known and skilled potter and he told me there's no way it can be fixed and not see the cracks.
