long story short...the camera charger was in the camping gear :pinch:

well now that i can take pictures again i can share my newbies. 2 months ago i joined a resently started bonsai club.there were 6 people at both meetings.first one they had a 1 tree raffel,spent 10$ won an azalea awsome...next month there was an auction bid 30 on a hinoki cypress,won it...freak'n awsome

heres the azalea :woohoo: the pot is 16 inches across and 4 inches deep the budda is 2 1/2 inches tall to give some referance.it sucks tho not to have before with the afters of these but...

i cant believe this is my tree i stare at it almost constantly when im out in back.it is a gokan (5 trunk clump style) the tallest trunk is over 2 1/2 feet and the base is 3 inches across
and did i say i cant stop staring at it well it took over 6 hours over 3 different days to get it to this point. it needs alot of pruning to get better branch stucture and it is severly rootbound but roots will have to wait till spring when it will get a wooden box

I love the clump; Reminds me of something I have been working on lately. But yours is twice the size..

They're great. Love the azalea, would be beautiful when flowering! It has a nice base and a good ramification!

thanks all ...these do need alot of work still tho especially the azalea which needs alot of filling out.i prunned about half of the foliage to get more light into the inner branches hoping for some backbudding. it has good bones but it is very lanky.
the hinoki is also in need of a good pruning but it was late in the season and with it being so rootbound i really didnt want to do any major pruning. it was very droopy, clumped together and unkept when i received it so it is wired to get the foliage the most light possible but with the final style in mind
