I have read that people have grown bonsai trees inside using fluorescent lights.What do you guys think of this? Is natural sunlight better or just the same as using the fluorescent? Thanks.

It is not just the light, but also temperature, humidity and fresh air. I don't grow bonsai inside.

I think you exaggerate the temperature a little. The hottest place on earth I think has once reached 58 degrees, that was lybia..

If normal plants can grow outside, bonsai can too, provided you take some care with shieling from wind, peak sun and provide enough water. Our hottest days recently peaked at about 39 degrees.

Oh. So only 37 degrees? Depending on the species you keep, it should be no problem at all outside. Pines, juniperus are probably the ones best suited for continuous 35+ degrees
