Need help with tree ID! New to bonsai!

If anyone can ID this tree, it'd be a great help. Once I know what it is I can get a realistic idea of what I can aim to have it look like in the future!

What did the vendor say it is?
If he didn't tell, can you ask?
If you can't ask, does it look like a plant in the 'species guide' (in the menu bar on this page) ?

Hey!
Unfortunately I can't ask the vendor as I bought in an online sale. I saw it as a cheap way to try my hand at the art before getting really invested in it.
I took a look at the guide and narrowed it down to like possibly 4 or 5 but I just can't tell for sure.

On the photo I cannot see if the leaves are alternating (seems they are, but I'm not sure), I can't see if the leaves are serrated, I cannot see the exact shape. I need a better photo. Or glasses.
Could be an ulmus. Or a zelkova. Or something entirely different.
