You're hooked. As far as I know, there's no remedy.

I have six trees in the ground now and four in big posts in preparation for winter. I am reading other beginners posts, like me, and I hear them ask questions about wiring and pruning, my reaction now is-leave it alone, let it grow, hands off... I'm learning.
My goals have changed from snipping and cutting to keeping them alive, watering and letting them get strong and healthy.
Studying others trees has given me an appreciation for the talent, artistry and skill of those who help create these masterpiece's. Seeing these trees, I know the artists didn't rush and lose patience. They had a vision they were willing to pursue even if it took years, decades and more. I need to continue to develop this mindset and all of you on this forum help me to grow in this way. (Excuse the pun) :lol:

I have identified several potential bonsai in my own landscape....I have no problem with that. It is just that my eyes have started to wonder to the neighbors shrubs. They seem to have so much more potential! :dry:
