I think I prefer the first version of this tree. Now it has become more fitting the norm to bonsai. The other was different..

Are these not ready to go into much smaller pots? The containers seem a little large?

I see it exactly the other way LB :D To me the first version looked like a bonsai, this reminds me of a tree more. Might be that the photo doesn´t do it justice.

Smaller pot would be surely better, but at the moment I cannot afford any :P But second and this third juniper would fit into smaller ones no problem, as the rootball fills just the quarter of the size of the current pots.

Sell one tree, and buy 2 pots :)

Well I intend to sell this last one actually, after I see that I didn´t damage any live vein while peeling off the strips of bark :) So in a month or 2 it will be available hopefully. Any idea what I might ask for it?

OK, to sum this thread up here are the before and after images of these 3 junipers.
I might sell the last one - but am really thinking that I might not, cause I like it more now after the second styling :)
Next step is to order nice pots for the second and third juniper, but that will be next year the soonest.
For now this thread is done.
I am quite happy how the trees turned out and that I was able to create 3 quite different trees from basically very similair material.
It was really fun and I loved working on these trees. I want more!!! :D Will have to look around again for some nice stuff. Or not that nice - which is bigger challenge.
