If you're sowing just 2or 3 seeds then an ordinary 4inch flower pot, any more, a seed tray. If I have seeds that need stratification I use the plastic containers we get our Chinese take away in, once they come out of the fridge melt a few holes with a soldering iron or a heated up nail.
