Aphids.
Treat with generic insecticide. Or a nicotine spray. Or a soap/alcohol spray.

What do lacewings have to do with this? Are you suggesting the aphids should be treated using biological controls? I think that is a bit much for a single plant, probably kept indoors?

well it kinda looked like an azalea and i have been doing this for aprox 15 yrs professionally as a nursery specilist. yes its a aphid but if you have an azalea you want to keep your eye out if grown outside for lacewings. they as small and do quite alot of damade and are a bit annoying to get rid of.

Odd. I have never heard of lacewings doing damage to plants. I am always very happy to find them in my plants are they are an important predator of aphids.

Lacewings are 0.5 - 2 cm. I would not call it small compared to aphids :P .

What sort of damage do they do?
