Hello everyone! I was hoping that someone could help me out. I am concerned about my Japanese Wisteria, approx. 6 years old and recently purchased. I live in Zone 10 and the wisteria bonsai is located outdoors and receives morning/afternoonish sun and shade towards the end of the afternoon. I’m concerned because the tips of The plant have started to turn brown and slightly curl. From my research it seems like this is due to possible overwatering. I water them daily as I am located in southern Florida and the sun is stronger than in most locations. Does anyone have any form of guidance? As you can tell I’m new to the bonsai world and would hate to have something happen to this beauty. I am attaching some photos and will attach some more later today to demonstrate the browning of the leaves. Please help!

This young plant looks very top heavy. Very thin trunk, could do with a few years in the ground. You should be checking the soil each time you are watering. I think it is doubtful that you are over watering though. Leaves do die and it could just be a natural thing.

I am not sure the leaves are sick.
Are they falling down? Crispy?
Wisterias are wonderful trees!

Recently several of the leaves have started to brown on the ends and when I checked this morning, about 4 of the smaller newly developed leaves have brown around the edges and the top began to curl under. I can’t tell if it’s the water issue or the su . I can post another photo when I check on it later today.

First off thank you for your response!
I agree the wisteria is a little top heavy and that was one concern when I purchased the plant. I was concerned about the lack of girth to the trunk. Generally the soil is slightly damp when I want the wisteria and is not dry to the touch. I try to be conscious of the soil as I know they don’t like overly moist soil. The root system seems alight and there has been new growth since I purchased it, however I was just concerned about the previous leaves beginning to what looks like die off so early in the season. I don’t know if this is a result from a change in the climate or if it’s a result from the trip it took to my home. I’m trying to attack the issue before something happens.

I don't see anything wrong with it. It needs a much bigger pot to give it some room to grow. The pot is far too small for the size of plant My wisteria needs a lot of water in summer.

A colander or a pond basket, maybe?

I was a little hesitant to transfer it to a new pot. I have attached some new images to see if this will help shine some light. Thank you in advance!

I can only agree with the others. It should not be in this pot, this plant is not ready for bonsai, it needs growth.
Moving it to this pot may be the cause of the problem.
