Hi, I'm a begginer interested in growing different types of bonsais. So it's been almost a year that I planted cherry trees but I'm not sure if it's going the good way.

So I'll post pics and I would like, if you could tell me if those are cherry types or not. Also they have almost a year. I planted them last summer. I repoted them before spring.

And if you could give me advise to grow other species. I have the seeds but they don't sprout.
Thank you
Chantal

my advise would be buy mature trees, even nursery stock but you need to know what to look for so do some research. if you are trying to do this hobby buy starting with seeds you have some years maybe even decades before you will be able to even trim those saplings. if you buy mature trees you can start getting your hands dirty now to learn and by the time your saplings get older you should have some knowledge in the art of bonsai.

btw its bonsai trees not bonsais.

They look healthy, good sign!
But I guess they will be happier outdoors, when a little older.
