Shrubs are very hardy species in general. They survive ok in extreme conditions, better than trees.

Sorry.. but this is a buxus harlandii. It doesn't tolerate freezing temperatures.However, they do need a cold period.

Good to clarify that Auk. It does not looked the traditional boxwood I know from my experience.
