As for the OP: Why get your panties in a bunch when someone tells you this is not a bonsai? You can still enjoy it. But unless you are in the tropics, this plant will not become more bonsai than right now. Sorry. Take the advice, use it to your advantage, and next time, get material that is suitable for bonsai growing.
