I was given this tree about 2-3 years ago and was told it was a bonsai tree. I have looked through your tree species list and cannot ID it. We recently moved and now the plant is dying. What kind of tree is this and how do I make it healthy again? I water it almost daily and it is sitting next to a window so it receives sunlight.

most trees dont like to be moved around so it can be stressed from the move. if you are watering everyday you are most likely over watering. if its keep indoors i doubt the soil is drying out that fast. water only when soil is drying out not to a schedule.

it is a schefflera house plant. I think I have got the name right that is why you did not find it in the species guides for bonsai

it is a schefflera house plant.

Nah, it is not ;)
It is a Pachira aquatica a.k.a. Guiana Chestnut, A.K.A. Money tree.

But this has nothing to do with bonsai, which is why you have a hard time identifying it, if you look at bonsai fora. Visit a generic houseplant forum and people can help you with this.
