Hi all, Firstly could you help me identify this tree please, is it a 'money tree'
Also does anyone hav e any ideas why the leaves all of a sudden are discolouring and falling off?
Is it best to keep this one in doors?

It is nt a money tree, itis a ginseng ficus. I would recommend going to a houseplant forum. This forum is specific to the art of growing bonsai.

Indeed it is not a bonsai. Are you keeping it where you took the photos? If so, it probably is not getting enough light. From what it looks like... the pebbles are just laying on top of the soil surface... are they glued on? I would remove them. there is little reason to keep them there, and they probably are preventing you from seeing how wet the soil is... which could also be why the tree is loosing leaves.

It's a ficus, very easy tree to grow.
I can't tell for sure but it seems like over watering while indoor.
Try to move it outdoor for more sun light hours or give it less water and wait for the soil to fully drain and dry.
